Every now and then, it is worth pausing long enought to look back before rushing ahead. As this year wrapped up, I took a moment to do exactly that. Not to turn it into a victory lap, but to take stock of what actually happened, what mattered, and what it says about where things are headed.
It was a really good year.
Revenue grew by roughly 145%. I share that once and plainly, not because the number itself is the point, but because it reflects something more important. Trust. Momentum. Work that led to more work.
One of the things I am most proud of is client retention. Five clients rolled straight into the new year, including Dubo Law entering year four of our work together. That kind of continuity only happens when relationships are strong and the work continues to deliver value.
Alongside that, eight new clients came on board. Half of them arrived in the fourth quarter, with the last one even coming in on December 31. That timing always makes me smile. It is a quiet reminder that marketing decisions do not always follow neat calendars.
The work itself was wide ranging and energizing. Three television campaigns. Brand advertising. Fully integrated campaigns that stretched across channels and formats. And so much more.
On top of that, what I sometimes jokingly call Newsletters R Us. At the moment, I am actively working on nine individual client newsletters, each with its own voice, goals, and audience, plus countless other projects that never show up neatly in a portfolio.
What all of that represents is not volume for the sake of volume. It is variety. Different problems, different industries, different expectations. That is the kind of work that keeps things interesting and sharp.
Just as important as the projects were the people. New collaboration partners. New networking connections. New relationships that started with a conversation and turned into real momentum. That part of the work never shows up in metrics, but it matters just as much.
I could not be happier with where things landed. Not because everything went perfectly, but because it felt earned. The work was thoughtful. The pace was demanding in the right ways. The relationships deepened.
Looking ahead, 2026 is already off to a strong start. As of January 10, the year is tracking at roughly 32 percent growth. That includes work already underway on trade show booth signage and a new product launch for a new client. It is the kind of start you are grateful for and encouraged by.
At the same time, I work in marketing and advertising. I know better than most how fragile projections can be. Budgets shift. Priorities change. One phone call can reshape an entire year. I have seen it. I have lived it.
That reality keeps things in perspective.
So while I am encouraged by where things stand, I am not getting comfortable. I am staying hungry. Curious. Focused. Grateful for the momentum, but fully aware that nothing is guaranteed in this business.
That balance is where I try to stay. Appreciating the work behind me, showing up fully for the work in front of me, and remaining open to whatever twists come next.
If this kind of reflection sounds familiar, it is the sort of thing I am always happy to talk through over a cup of coffee. Sometimes stepping back for a short conversation is all it takes to see the road ahead a little more clearly.
